Review and Outlook
The Association has been graded A in structure, business operations, and financial matters among some 3000 national social groups by the Interior Ministry. In this sense, the Association provides a model of teamwork, efficiency, and mutual support. This honor does not come easily; it is achieved by the sweat of each and every member's face. It is believed that working together, we sure can make a difference.
Neverless, there are two respects which have been troublsome to the Association. One of them is about its members and the convening of annual general meeting. Since the lifes of women judges are busy and hectic, both in office and at home, seldome or never do they find leisure time to participate in the Association's activities. In addition, because our members are widespread in the country, it is hard to get half of the total members to attend annual general meeting as required by law. The way to overcome this problem should be given priority in the Association's agenda.
The other is related to the Association's title in the IAWJ. Ever since the Association became a group member of the IAWJ, the Chinese Women Judges Association has been boycotting and suppressing our choice of the title as the Chinese Women Judges Association - Taiwan , Republic of China. In result, many members have experssed dissatifaction over the matter and thus have put a question to the Association as to whether it is worth attending the IAWJ's activities. It is hoped that, taking into consideration of the Association's loyal participation in the IAWJ's activities and the dignity of the Association, the IAWJ could make an effort to resolve the dispute by revising its Bylaw, stipulating for mutual respect among group members and prohibiting its members from discriminative interference in any other member's title.
